Zlenko Family
Needs A Home

They will stay on their land while they rebuild their lives.

Family Story

Alla Petrovna Zlenko, 60 years old, is currently retired. She used to work as an accountant but took a long break from work after the birth of her first child to stay at home and care for the child. Her son was born with cerebral palsy (CP). She has a daughter, Maria Hennadiivna Zlenko, 30 years old, who went abroad before the war.

Her husband, Hennadii Borysovych Zlenko, 59 years old, is a pensioner due to his Chernobyl-related certificate. He worked before the war and currently works as a driver in Kyiv.

“At the beginning of the occupation, on March 8th, we left for the Lviv region, where we lived with a wonderful family that volunteers found for us. They welcomed us as their own! When we returned home in May, we initially stayed with friends in Irpin, and then settled in the house of my husband’s sister in Hostomel, where we currently live. Our own house was completely destroyed, and we lost everything. But the Lord has given us the most precious gift – life. After everything we’ve been through, we dream of living in our own home again, where we can welcome dear family and friends, plant flowers in the garden, and travel around Ukraine as a family.”
