Victoria Danilova and her two children, Danilo and Veronika, lost their home in the relentless bombing of Bucha in March 2022 when a phosphorus bomb was dropped on their house. But that was not all. Russian forces committed war crimes during their occupation. 

While Victoria and her children were suffering at home, their father and husband was fighting at the front. He was injured in May and came home to the rubble to recuperate. Once, he was healed, he headed back to the front.  

September 9, 2022 in an unexpected push to expel Russian forces from the East, Victoria’s husband was killed. Victoria and her children face an uncertain future without a home to live or a father to care for them. 

While we can never restore what they have lost, we can ease their suffering and make sure they have a warm place to heal their hearts this winter.  Help us take care of Victoria, Danilo and Veronika.
