Denys Nyzhynets 14, male from Chernihiv

Hello, my name is Denіs, I am 14 years old, I live in the village of Voznesenskе, and I also study at the school located in my village. My family is very friendly and we always help each other. It consists of my mother Oksana, father Ihor, and three brothers: Ihor, Andriy and Artem.

I myself am a very sporty person, at first I went to gymnastics for 6 years, but because of the bad attitude of the coach towards me, I decided to leave there, then I went to sports dances and now I have been practicing there for about a year, there is a very cool team and I really like it there. I don’t have very few friends, but not too many either, I think it’s best to have a small number of loyal and good friends, I have them both from school and from dance. My best friends are Timur, Milana, Eva, Yehor, Svyatoslav, Kyrylo, these are people who match my interests.

During the full-scale invasion of Chernihiv, I stayed at home with my family, and I stayed in the occupation for about a month, I never could have thought that I would go down to the bomb shelter under shells, just to save my life and sit without electricity and water for about a day.

I imagine life in the USA to be interesting, I hope to find friends there who will match my interests. I also hope that life there will be very full of various fun emotions and memories, so that I can always remember this time as one of the best in my life. From the point of view of education, I would really like to see how they study in schools outside of Ukraine, what is the student evaluation system there, how the material is presented. Well, of course, I want to learn more English, in the USA, it will be much easier for me than in Ukraine.
