Milana Ponomarenko 13, female from Chernihiv

Hi, my name is Milana and I’m 13 years old, and I’m finishing 7th grade. I love listening to music, dance and drawing on my tablet. I have a little brother and the best friends, I love spending time with friends, I have fun, talk and play different games. I am a very sociable person and therefore I can find a common language with many people, so I can easily find friends!

I also want to say about my parents, I have a kind mother and father and I love them very much, but after February 24, my family was scattered across different cities and countries. When the War began, I had to go to Italy with my mother and brother, and my father immediately went to the war. My homeland is Mariupol, but I haven’t lived there since 2017, but now my grandmother lives there, to whom I went every summer…My house came under hostilities, so it took a lot of time to restore it, but I’m not sad, I believe that the war will end and everything will be fine, I really wish there was peace in the world.

I also love animals very much, and I have them. I have two cats (Lily and Gray) and two dogs (Dory and Nessie) I love them very much!

My goal for traveling to America is to make new friends, look at American nature and culture, communicate more and learn English☺ I am very interested in learning something new about America, how people live there, and how they celebrate holidays. I would really like to have foreign friends and find out them interests! I hope that I will go to America and find a lot of friends, learn a lot of new things for myself! ☺ I hope my application is accepted
