A big family that suffered from bombings in Kalynivka village, that is 30 km from Kyiv. Volodymir and Valentina are the eldest, their children Olexandr and Olena (plus her husband, soldier Victor) and grandchildren Zlata and Timur (9 and 10 y.o.). The family was hiding in the cellar, when a massive bombardment started. They tried to escape the day earlier, there was no petrol in a car and the gas stations didn’t work. So on march 5, at 5a.m. the house was crushed by the shell. Luckily, the cellar was next to the house, but not under it, otherwise the family would have died. After that, the military gave the family 10 liters of gasoline and they miraculously managed to leave. After the liberation the family made their way back. Everything was burnt to aphids. Now Volodymir, Valentina and Olena live with neighbors. Victor is in the army. Oexander lives in a summer kitchen near the ruined house.
