Before the war, Vladimir and Valentina Bondar shared their home with their daughter Yana, son-in-law Alexei,  and their grandson Nazar.

The military evacuated the family from Irpin on March 9. “We went to Lviv, where we were sheltered by complete strangers.”

They have since found an apartment to rent from people who are still in Europe, but are going to return in the spring.

 

When Vladimir heard that children in the US were collecting money to build houses for Ukrainians, he  burst into tears and could not calm down, He is deeply touched by this and very grateful to the good people of the US. 

For $23,000, we can build a home for the Bondar family.
