Their Family Story
This is a wonderful family. They remained sitting in the basement until March 8th. They say that there was no phone and Internet connection, and they did not fully realize the seriousness of the situation and thought that everything would end soon. When they learned that the Irpen Hospital started evacuating, they realized that everything was severe and terrifying. The same day, the occupiers began bombing the area with aircraft. The neighboring houses were bombed. Then the family decided to run away. They were helped out by their neighbor, who hid with them in the basement of their house. The family went to the West of Ukraine. They returned in April when Irpen was liberated.
When they saw their destroyed house, Victor immediately said they should not despair and must do something. They are currently converting their summer house into permanent housing. They put all our money into it and borrowed money from friends to buy bricks and build walls. They used the roof of the surviving summer house. The money ended there.
Now they live in a rented apartment for 10,000 UAH per month. They are very worried that renting an apartment eats up almost all the money they could save to restore their house and pay back the debt for bricks. They don’t give up and say that they will definitely get it in 2-3 years.
A modular home would be just an excellent solution for them! They would be able to live in it while finishing building the house.
