Maksym Pidoshva 14, male from Energodar

My name is Maksym, I am 14 years old. Me and my family, which includes my mother Olena, father Oleksandr and brother Vadym, used to live in the small city called Energodar and I loved it. Since 2018 my brother has been studying in the United States and currently lives there. In my city located the biggest nuclear power plant in Europe. Sadly it is occupied, so, me and my parents moved to another one. Currently we live in Brovary (a city near the capital). Brovary is nice, but not as comfortable as my hometown. Life is difficult now because of the war and I miss my classmates, my friends, my home and we had to leave almost all of our belongings back there.

I have a small friend circle, mostly my new classmates. I feel better because all of them are close. Having a pet would also help to stay calm but I don’t have one.

I found something new that I enjoy doing. In my free time from school I usually learn a programming language. I like this, because I like technology and it gives me an opportunity to make new things. I study a language called C# on my laptop and I want to learn it completely. When I grow up I want to become a game developer and I think C# is a great start!

Life during the war is terrible. People lose loved ones every day. I wish it stopped. I want people to live in peace, and care about education, love, and a bright future.
