Marunya Family Needs A Home

Help us build a home for the Marunya family this winter.

The Marunya Family

On February 24, the Marunya family, consisting of Natalia (42), Igor (44), and Vladislav (20), heard the first shelling as they were preparing for work. They recall that the shelling wasn’t as terrifying as the sight of Russian military vehicles passing close by. The family sought refuge in the cellar. Food was scarce, and with their son and mother suffering from chronic illnesses and the lack of electricity, they attempted to leave. However, without a car, which had burnt in front of their house, they waited a long time for help. Eventually, they were evacuated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The family remembers that the soldiers didn’t believe anyone on their street had survived because it was on the outskirts of the village. They now live in a dormitory room. The husband works and volunteers with electrical assistance in the village since the war began, having to commute 50 minutes each day. They are in dire need of assistance.
