Anatoliy Ivanovich Novozhenko, 63 years old.
For many years, starting from the 1970s, Anatoliy and his mother lived in the peaceful village of Novoselivka. Through hard work and perseverance, they built a wonderful house that became a symbol of family warmth and comfort. However, this dream was shattered on April 16, 2022, when the occupiers destroyed their home. All their belongings, farming equipment, motor block, livestock, and everything they had accumulated were burned.
During the fighting, when the war began, Anatoliy and his mother did not leave their beloved village. The sounds of gunfire, flames of fires, and explosions became their new reality. Every day, they fought for survival, moving from one house to another, from one cellar to another, in search of even a sliver of safety. Yet, they never considered abandoning their village.
They currently live in a construction trailer on their plot, without decent living conditions. Despite this hardship, they have not lost hope. They dream of having dignified living conditions again and of rebuilding their home that was destroyed during the Russian invasion. They want to return to their normal lives, to their land, to their garden, to continue cultivating it and nurturing new plants as a symbol of renewal and hope for the future.
