Why Am I Helping?
Dear Friends!
April 29-May 7, I was able to travel to the incredible country of Ukraine. In Ukraine, I met with many wonderful people and learned about the tragedies they have endured over the last 14 months.
As a part of my trip, I served people in the region of Khmelnytskyi in the western part of Ukraine. I toured facilities for injured soldiers and felt their indomitable spirit. I spent time with children recovering from war and from forceable adoption into Russia.
Also I was able to gift a house to the Kolina Family in Irpin on behalf of Zions Bank. I have seen what To Ukraine With Love does in Ukraine and have seen they joy in people’s eyes when they know someone from the US cares. Please join me in helping Ukraine.
Hot Meals: Feeding Families $100 feeds 1 person two meals/day for a month
International aid is difficult to deliver if you don’t have a staff on the ground. After one organization left, citing dangerous conditions, To Ukraine With Love stepped in.
Currently, we feed 5,000 people two meals a day in 5 different cities. These are people living without electricity or access to warm food. Not only do we feed their bodies, but we feed their spirits—because they know that their fellow Ukrainians and friends across the world are thinking of them.
This food provision effort costs $50,000 a month.
Children's Therapy$15,000/month for 100 students
The youngest victims of the war have few tools to understand what is happening. With your help, we provide therapy that helps them to deal with terrors of war.
Children of Peace is delivering art, equestrian, and sports therapy to help children deal with the horrors of war. Our therapy is run by professional therapists and serves 100 students every month.
Modular Houses
1-2 BD - $29,000, 3 BD - $35,000
Thousands of civilian homes have been destroyed in Ukraine since the start of the war.
Families want to stay on their land, eat from their gardens, care for their neighbors and raise their children. Rebuilding takes time and winter is coming. But Ukrainians don’t have insurance, FEMA or even mortgages–they pay cash for the houses that take years and generations to build. There is no federal program to help them rebuild.
A Ukrainian manufacturer of modular homes will build a $29k 2-bedroom and $35k 3-bedroom and install it on people’s site. The house is furnished with appliances, furniture and bedding. Once the family has rebuilt their home, the modular unit can be moved to assist a new family. This project helps both recipient families and employees of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
Bone Stabilizers Help Heal Bones
Bone stabilizers have emerged as a critical medical intervention that plays a vital role in stabilizing fractures and aiding in the healing process for individuals with bone injuries. These devices provide external support and immobilization to fractured bones, allowing for proper alignment and minimizing movement during the recovery period. By maintaining stability and reducing stress on the injured bone, bone stabilizers promote optimal conditions for natural healing to occur.
Their application has revolutionized orthopedic care, providing a reliable and effective means to promote successful fracture healing and restore the quality of life for patients. The utilization of bone stabilizers underscores the remarkable advancements in medical technology and their profound impact on improving patient outcomes and facilitating the recovery of bone injuries.
