Sharovatov Family Has A Home
Thanks To Dell Loy Hansen

They will stay on their land while they rebuild their lives

Family Story

The Sharovatov family lost both of their homes in Borodianka, an apartment and a house. They also lost their dearest elderly relatives who perished in the house where two rockets hit, burning them alive. It took five months to retrieve and properly bury the remains of the victims from the ashes. Since then, the family has been living in a remote village where acquaintances rented them an old house. However, there is no electricity, water, or heating in the house.

Alexey, born in 1979, is a music teacher at the Academy of Arts in Kyiv. Several times a week, he commutes for two hours each way to attend classes with his students. Unfortunately, his salary is not sufficient to start building a new house. Alexey’s sister, Larisa, born in 1972, works as an artist at the Borodianka House of Culture. Her son, Eugene, just turned 18 and is currently studying at college. They also live with their mother, Elena, who is a bedridden second-degree disabled person. Mrs. Elena used to work at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and since then, she has been facing serious health issues.

This family is pleading for assistance from sponsors. They urgently need a modular house like air to be able to live in their own city on their own land.
