The Fedorenko Family
stay on their land while they rebuild their lives
Their Family Story
When the war began, grandparents invited their two sons and their families to their village. We thought the village would be safer, so everyone arrived. But shortly after the village was occupied and heavily bombed. As a result of one of the bombings, the house was destroyed; the son and one grandson of the couple died, the second son was severely injured and is still undergoing treatment, and another grandson’s arm was torn off because of the explosion. The family is heartbroken. The family delivered the grandson, with great difficulty, to the hospital. While on their way, the infection began. The doctors had to cut off an even larger part of the arm than was originally torn off. Now the baby is in the USA on prosthetics. He dreams of returning to his grandparents. Anatolii and Nadezhda now live in the tiny house of their acquaintances. Friends allowed them to live there while they didn’t have another place.
For $28,000, we have built a home for the Fedorenko Family thanks to Lifting Hands International.
