Anna Laba 14, female from Chernihiv

My name is Ann, I am 14 years old. I live with my mother and younger brother. He is 5 years younger than me, but we enjoy spending time together. I also have a dog with whom I often play ball. In my free time I usually read or draw room designs. Every Tuesday I take English classes.

Also, my family and I sometimes go rollerblading, but I haven’t learned yet. My friends and I often play volleyball or just go for walks. I do quite well at school and love math. In the future, I want to become an IT specialist.

The war changed my life a lot. I had to give up many hobbies. My friends and I used to go camping a lot, but now we can’t do it because of the mines. Due to the missile threat, we had to stop the construction of the garage.

I love Ukraine very much and want as many people as possible to know about it. In the United States I want to have a good time and make new friends to whom I can tell about my country. To do this, I need to learn English, but I think it will be easier in an English-speaking environment. Thank you for the opportunity to visit the USA.
