Victoria Danch 15, female from Buzova

Hello, my name is Victoria. I’m 15, I am in 10th grade. I am from Ukraine, Kherson. I am sociable and communicative. At leisure I like read and doing yoga. I played volleyball professionally and went to competition before moving. Now I live near Kyiv with my mother and dad, also I have younger sister, grandmother and a dog,her name is Barny. My mom is 36, she is an accountant. My dad is 44 he worked builder and my sister as I played volleyball.On February 24, 2022, the war began in Ukraine.

Our city was occupied from the first days, we did not have the opportunity to leave there. It was very dangerous during the occupation, Russian soldiers walked with machine guns along the street and from house to house, it was very scary. We lived under occupation for almost 9 months.Some time after the de-occupation, a Russian rocket flew into our private house, at that moment my mother and Barney were in the house. It took 2 hours for my mother to be rescued from the rubble. The next day we left for Kyiv having nothing.

“To Ukraine with love” charity foundation provided us with a home. I’m grateful for this, but I still want to go home. Here I made new friends, new hobbies and goals.
