To Ukraine With Love

Nik Lamanov 15, male from Buzova

Profile

Hello! My name is Nikita Lamanov, and I am in the 9th grade. I am 15 years old. Previously, I practiced Kyokushin-style karate and have a blue belt. I have been swimming for seven years and participated in competitions and took prizes more than once. I also pursued acting, but due to the war, I was forced to leave these activities. Currently, I am involved in music. I play the guitar and a bit of piano. I am also deeply studying English and Polish languages. I also painting (one of my paintings was sold in an auction in Amsterdam, and the proceeds were sent to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces). I enjoy organizing various games and activities for children.

I have a brother who’s named Timur, he is 11 and he loves playing online games, riding bicycles and rollerblades, and playing football. He is also learning English. I also have a little brother David, he is only 4 months but already he has his own character and preferences. My parents are Oksana and Serhiy. My mom used to work in tourism but now focuses on caring for my brother David. She is passionate about sports and healthy eating. My dad works in agriculture and he passionate about cars. Our whole family was volunteering. We organized and distributed food packages in the Cherkasy region under the leadership of “World Central Kitchen.” We have a pet cat Lisa, she is cute and well-behaved. Our family enjoys spending time together, playing board games, or being active outdoors. Sometimes, we like to go for barbecues or cook something delicious. We used to travel a lot. Before the war, we lived in the Donetsk region, had our own apartment (unfortunately, it’s no longer there), and were building a house where we dreamed of living together as a big friendly family…

But the war broke our dreams when it entered our home. When we moved to a safer city in 2014, we started building a new life, but in 2022, the war caught up with us again and came into our home. We were forced to leave everything behind and run for safety once more.

Now, thanks to the assistance of the charity found “To Ukraine With Love,” and people who are not indifferent to our sorrow, we live in a wonderful house in Dream Town and hope that everything will be well and that peace will come.

I Would Like To Sponsor Nikita
