My name is Tatyana Pavlivna Nagornenko. I have two children–Pavlo and Oleksandr. I live with my son Oleksandr who is not married. I work at a hospital in Kyiv. One day, I went to work and stayed overnight for my shift. While I was gone, the city was evacuated and my sons Pavlo and Oleksandr left. No one knew what would happen to our homes.

Our town was liberated by our brave forces on March 28 but it was not safe to return. I was finally able to return on April 15 to find my home destroyed. I now spend my days at my house trying raise my garden and spend the night at a neighbor’s house. I would really like to have a roof over my head and my son’s head before winter comes.
