Share your Gratitude this Thanksgiving
OUR GOAL: Collect $15,000 by October 30 to build a 1-bedroom home for a family in Ukraine. The house is furnished with appliances, furniture and bedding.
*****GIVE BEFORE OCTOBER 7 TO DOUBLE YOUR GIFT THROUGH A GENEROUS DONATION MATCH
Natalia is 67 years old and she lives with her 33-year old son. For the last 2 years, she has been fighting cancer and is on her first round of chemotherapy. She takes care of her mother and supports her in every possible way. Natalia’s son is working to pay for the chemotherapy, but jobs are scarce. The civilian defenders risked their lives to rescue Natalya during the bombing of Irpin. But when she returned to her home and found that it had been destroyed, she wished she had been left in the house so she could die. This house would give both Natalya and her son more than just a roof over their head—it would bring them hope for the future.
Lift Your Family As Well as Theirs
This kind of service changes hearts in a way that is just as desperately needed as the physical needs of the people suffering in war.
For both your family and Natalya’s family, the spirit of service not only provides material support but also an emotional and spiritual uplift.
Our world needs healing and unity, and these difficulties provide an opportunity for us to come together.
See the Fruits of Your Labors
You will have the chance to meet Natalya and her son virtually and participate in a watch party when they find out they are receiving a home and then see the home donated to them when it is completed three weeks later. Details on the date and location for the watch party will be delivered to you later.

Deadline is October 30 so the family will be in their home before the end of November and you can celebrate your efforts on Thanksgiving.
Now is the Time
These regions have been without war for months and are ready to rebuild but the Ukrainian housing culture is very different than the U.S. They build their homes over generations without mortgages, paying for different parts over time. There is no home owner’s insurance. The only thing they have now is their land where they can at least grow food to eat.
Once the family has rebuilt their home, the modular unit can be moved to assist a new family. This project helps both recipient families and employs Ukrainians in desperate need of work.
