Egor Taranov 15, male from Kharkiv

Hello!

My name is Egor, I am almost 15 years old. I was born on March 30, 2010. Now I live in Kharkov, Ukraine. But until 2022, I lived in the village of Slatino. I study at the Slatino Lyceum, but due to military actions, I study remotely. I like subjects such as physical education, Geography, biology. I have been involved in professional sports – Karate JKS since I was 6 years old. I take part in many competitions and already have a referee category. I love what I do. My goal in Karate is to reach a black belt and take part in international competitions. I am already training new little athletes.

I also love to travel. Before the war, my family and I went abroad every summer to relax at the sea.

But with the advent of the war, everything changed. For some time we stayed at home and helped people from our village: we distributed humanitarian aid and medicines. But then we had to leave our home and my mother and I went to Germany. We lived there for two months with a German family. We are very grateful to them for their help.

Okay. Let’s finish my backstory.

I want to tell you about my hobbies. I like to go fishing, walk with friends, ride a bike, play computer games, play active games in nature. I also like to go to children’s camps, where I find many new friends.

Why do I want to go to the USA? I want to improve my English, which I don’t know well; see a new country for me and meet you 🙂
