Help Lachlan Haacke
Provide a Home
Families want to stay on their land and rebuild. $15,000 makes this possible
No Place Like Home
Hello, my name is Lachlan Haacke. I am a senior at Skyline High School, Idaho Falls, Idaho. My father recently returned from two trips to Ukraine to help with the refugee crisis there. He told me about the number of people who are homeless, who have lost everything and live in the rubble where their home once stood. They refuse to leave their land because their land is all they have left. My father met Vasilina and Hryhoriy from Chernihiv. Their home was destroyed by a bomb dropped by a plane and they are lucky to be alive today. They now live in their cellar in the ground where Vasilina is pointing to. It is my goal to travel to Ukraine on July 28, 2022 for my senior high school project and help build modular homes for people like Vasilina and Hryhoriy who have lost their home.
I am partnering with To Ukraine with Love to purchase a one-bedroom modular home from a Ukrainian manufacturer. Each modular home costs USD $15,000 and I hope to raise enough money to purchase several. By doing so it will help provide jobs for people in Ukraine as well as provide housing for those who lost their home. What makes this opportunity unique is the modular home will be placed on the land the people own. The modular home comes fully furnished and will provide safe shelter while the family rebuilds their permanent home. Once their permanent home is rebuilt, the modular unit can be moved to assist a new family.
Please help me to provide homes to the people of Ukraine who have lost everything. Your tax-deductible donation will go to providing shelter, a home, to Ukrainian families and the elderly. I will build as many homes as I can raise money for. Please put me to work assembling these modular homes purchased with your donation.
