The Ishchenko family comprises Ruslan, the husband (36), Svitlana, the wife (32), Igor, the son (14), Alina, the daughter (4), Eugene, the grandfather (60), and Alexandra, the grandmother (86). They first heard shelling on February 24th, and for three months, the family endured the turmoil in the village. Svitlana mentions they learned to dress their children quickly, managing it within three minutes due to the intensity of the shelling. They were compelled to spend up to two days at a time in the cellar. This took a toll on Alexandra’s health, prompting the family to decide to leave in their own car. Despite facing gunfire, they traveled for two weeks. Currently, they reside in a private house near Kharkiv without water and gas, and the living conditions for the children are dire.
