Kudinov Family

Help us build a home for the Kudinov family this winter.

The Kudinov Family

On February 24th, the first shelling began. The family woke up, rushed into the cellar with no food. They remember that upon hearing the shell coming, they had only 4 seconds to get into the shelter! It was common for the family not to make it in time, each having two sets of clothes (one to wear and one in the cellar).

Their son, a therapist, hitchhiked to the hospital knowing his skills were needed. He lost contact with his parents due to the village’s blackout. Meanwhile, his parents found themselves under occupation after he left. They learned that people who were helping locals began to disappear. They endured two months of occupation before deciding to escape on foot with their dog through marshes unknown to the Russians. After walking all night, they miraculously reached our soldiers who provided communication at that moment. The son, from the hospital, learned his parents were alive.

Currently, the son resides in a dormitory provided by the hospital, while his parents stay with neighbors in a small house with two rooms, lacking water and gas.
