Sofiia Zakruzhna 12, female from Chernihiv

Ні! My name is Sofia, I am 12 and I am in the 6 form. I live in the northern part of Ukraine in the village Voznesenske It is very beautiful village close to Chernigiv our oblast center. My family is not big: father, mother, brother and I. My brother is 6. Our family is very friendly. Sport unites us. My parents work in sport organizations. On weekend we like to spend time together. My family took part is sport competition “Father, mother and I are sport family. We were the first in Chernigiv oblast and the second in Ukraine. It was such a joy for us. But it was before war started and I often remember that happy days.

My brother Dan likes to play football. And attends sport school. We have a dog Basie, It likes to play ball with Dan. Maybe our dog will be a good football player. I am fond of art gymnastic. I began training when I was four. I train now 5 times a week. I took part in many sport competitions and won many medals and cups. I have two more hobbies: art and cooking. I like to help my mum in the kitchen to bake cakes. We invite our friends to have a cup of tea with us.

Our life has changed greatly now. Some of my friends left Ukraine and I miss them. Our village was occupied by Russians during the first month of the war. We had to leave our house. We lived one month in another place with our grandparents. My dream is to live in a peaceful country
I want to see your big country, its customs and traditions. But first of all to meet people, very hospitable and friendly. I wish my dreams come true.
