Oprishko Olena Needs A Home

Olena Opryshko, aged 61, was a social worker dedicated to serving and assisting the elderly in Prydiantsi before the war. She devoted her entire life to this cause, never asking for anything herself and giving her all. On February 24th, explosions began at 5 in the morning, prompting concerned calls from all the grandmothers she cared for, eager to know what was happening. Olena recalls being in disbelief until the very end. She began helping the village elders and continued personally distributing food to her wards. Undeterred by shelling, she assisted anyone in need. After two months, the residents left when the military warned that the front line would be there in a few hours. Together with the local leader, they organized a bus to evacuate bedridden individuals. Olena left with them. Currently, she resides at her dacha in Zolochiv, where there is no electricity or gas.
