Suharev Family Needs A Home

Help us build a home for the Suharev family this winter.

The Suharev Family

Grandma Maria (83), husband Eduard (50), wife Nina (52), and son Ruslan (19).

February 24th dawned with dreadful explosions, abruptly jolting the family awake. Without a cellar, they had no choice but to seek refuge within their own home. The absence of electricity and gas created unbearable conditions, especially for Grandma, who lacked essential medications. Meanwhile, Eduard bravely relayed reconnaissance data about Russian military movements to Ukrainian defenders. Sadly, Ruslan fell into Russian captivity, enduring their torment. They brought him to an execution site, stripped him bare, trying to find a tattoo. Ruslan witnessed a gruesome sight: the bodies of three locals, slain by the Russians. After hours of coercion and psychological torture, he lost consciousness and barely remembers returning to his parents. Following three harrowing months in the war zone, the family decided to flee the village. However, they encountered a Russian tank at night, deliberately menacing them by aiming its barrel directly at them. Fortunately, they evacuated safely. Upon the village’s liberation, they returned, only to find their home nearly destroyed. Currently, all family members reside in a single room that survived somewhat intact. They dream of victory, of rebuilding, and of better living conditions for their family.
